A quick reminder that our first Potluck Dinner is coming up on Tuesday, July 28 at 6:00PM.  Join us for some (hopefully) good food and good fellowship at the lodge.  To avoid having too many or all of one dish, a sign up sheet has been provided.  Please use the link below to sign up to bring your favorite dish. Fraternal Visit to Hall Lodge No. 53

For our more recent members, Kempsville Lodge once had a long-standing tradition of visiting Hall Lodge No. 53 in Shawboro, NC.  It was most likely established by our first Worshipful Master and 50 Year Secretary, Right Worshipful William Hollowell Pierce who was from that area of North Carolina and had a close relationship with their Secretary.  For many years, the lodge would charter and fill a bus for the yearly visit to enjoy Hall Lodge's unique fellowship and food - not to mention those bits of North Carolina ritual that we in Virginia find so entertaining.  As they say on the internet - if you know, you know.

From what I can tell, our last visit was in 2018 during Worshipful Chris Anders year.

We will, once again, be making a Fraternal Visit to Hall Lodge on August 5th and I look forward to experiencing that "down home" fellowship and food and that I've heard so much about.  As a courtesy to the folks at Hall Lodge, try to let me know if you're insterested in going by August 1st so I can give them a rough head count.  We don't want them to run out of fried chicken or barbeque!
