Event Details: VDL1778 December Annual Communication & Year End Celebration

Brethren,

The VDL1778 Stated Communication and Election of Officers will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025, 2:00pm at Bayside Lodge, located at 1465 Independence Blvd., Virginia Beach, VA 23455. To the VDL officers and incoming officers, please be at the Lodge by 1:00pm for the business instructions. No refreshment will be served before the meeting.

Open Installation of Officers:

The open Installation of Officers will begin at 5:00pm. The lodge will be opened to ALL (families & guests) at around 4:45pm. Please inform those who will be attending to be at the lodge before this time. Kindly inform them regarding the below event parking. 

Dress Code:

To the Incoming Officers and Installing Team Members, please wear Black Tuxedo with white dress shirt, black bow tie, black socks, black dress shoes and white gloves. 

Others may wear Business Suit/Coat & Tie for men and Semi-formal for ladies.

*Past Masters (PMs) and Affiliated PMs of VDL1778 - Please wear your PM's apron during the stated meeting.

Dinner & End of Year Celebration:

The masonic function will end after the installation of newly elected and appointed officers. After the installation, the dinner and end of year celebration, hosted by friends and family of the Masana's, will be held at the Bayside Lodge dining hall. Everyone is welcome. A Virginia One-day (Banquet) Alcohol License will be obtained from the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) authority. This will meet the State requirements with regards to having alcoholic beverages in an unlicensed location, hall or club premises. The dining hall rental contract will be secured by Sis Joy Lauren Rull for this is a 'private event' and NOT a VDL1778 function.

"No Mason, whether sojourning or a member of a Lodge holden under the Grand Lodge shall bring alcoholic beverages into any building or facility being used as a Lodge in the Commonwealth of Virginia for social functions". 

Only non-Masons who are 21 years and older can bring or serve alcoholic beverages in the hall, and only after the end of the Masonic event. Please be reminded to strictly adhere to this and to drink responsibly.  

Event Parking:

Please follow attached designated event parking areas.

As a reminder, please DO NOT PARK on the street and on the first 3 rows behind the funeral home.
